Preparing the Bride

"Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready."

[Revelation 19:7]

I was in awe.

When I asked my childhood best friend and bridesmaid, Becca, to open up her home to me & my favorite ladies for my wedding morning, I had no idea just how perfect it would be.

Becca and her mom are never ladies that do things halfway, so I should have known. When decorating our dorm room freshman year of college, everything was matching; down to the hand made zebra print pillows and the blue & green comforters. The decorations for the 'camp themed' wedding shower that she & others helped planned [recapped here] was absolutely adorable.
My wedding morning was even better.

She has poured her whole heart into our friendship and I have been so unbelievably blessed.

Please enjoy the following photos- don't feel bad about swooning over how they transformed their dad's 'man cave' into a 5 star salon. I was speechless.

They had set up a booth for each of my bridesmaids with their initials above each mirror.
Black & white photos of me & all my bridesmaids over the years.

This is Sineat, my hair & makeup artist. She is precious, loves Jesus, and is a killer stylist.
You can check out her work here.
[Also, note the DIY monogrammed ribbon wreath in the corner, compliments of Becca's mom, Renee]

Praying with Sineat and her assistant before they headed out!
That over there in the corner was a full coffee & bagel station. Did I mention that she made mimosas, too?!?
Allie Buffington, my childhood babysitter, did a fab job with my bridesmaids' hair.
You can find her salon, Haute Heads, here.

Kayla Longshore, my dear friend and [basically] professional make-up artist who volunteered to help out my bridesmaids for the morning!

Opening my 'day of' present from McCray- about 100 notes & pictures telling me why he was so excited to be my husband. I was so excited to see my groom!
Sara, my sister, best friend, & Maid of Honor
Becca & her mom, Renee, the designers behind our DIY salon
Me & my girls. I gave them their bridesmaid presents that morning and just affirmed what powerful women they all are.
Presents: white infinity scarves, pearl necklaces, & Danny Silk's book, "Powerful and Free: Women in the Church"
