Meet Lauren

I like to make the most of every opportunity.

Since moving to Costa Rica in January 2013 to teach English,
I have been blogging here on How Beautiful Are The Feet.

Now, my husband and I are living in Virginia, a new state for us both.
We can't wait to create a community of believers and make an impact in this city!

I enjoy the great outdoors, rock climbing, video editing, photography, DIY and craft projects, How I Met Your Mother, all things coffee & tea, journaling, building relationships & obviously, blogging.

It is my dream to open a coffee shop//prayer room one day.

The first time that I felt the Lord speak Romans 10:14&15
("..how beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news...")
over me, my feet were blistered, cut, and dirty from a 75 mi walk to help end human trafficking in Atlanta, GA and Nepal.
And yet, he still saw them as beautiful because I was bringing his good news.
Now, it is a desire of my heart to bring the good news of Jesus Christ no matter where in the world I go.

[I’ll never change the world if I’m trying to be like just like it.]

  4. Hi Lauren. Sorry, I deleted my first comment. I wasn't comfortable with the amount of personal information I had in my profile (I have now changed it! whew).

I have loved reading your blog. I am dreaming of my next phase of life and am really considering moving abroad (from the US) to do something - its the "what" that I just don't know yet. I will actually be coming through San Jose in the next couple of weeks on my way to San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua, for a short vacation/exploration. It would be terrific to meet up with an expat and talk stories, share dreams and maybe inspire me to do something like what you have. If interested, I can send you my email address to chat.
